Do you like to cook?
That’s the first question we asked each other in this group! Then we sizzled the following idea: using our grandmothers’ memories as an excuse to acquire knowledge! What does this even mean?
Well, our grandmothers’ cook (a lot!) and they definitely know what they are doing! Honestly, who can resist that spoon? You know, that grandma’s spoon that ends up being a ladle. But OK, for them we are all too skinny and in constant need of food. Their knowledge in cooking is many times acquired based on experience, years and years of cooking their signature dishes, however, we often don’t know why they use certain ingredients or certain tips and tricks that blow our minds.
AND THERE MY FRIENDS! It’s where we wanted to land. To learn and understand why we do what we do, honouring thus our grandmas’ recipes, their little tricks, and of course know they gathered from old/traditional cookbooks. We are trying to find some science behind those recipes (in the most accurate and fun way possible).
